have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved by...."]

Ordered that Wiley Alford pay to Susannah McDougald the sum of six pounds
for the maintenance of a bastard child for one year

Ordered that Angus McCallum be overseer of the road from James Alfords to
Lowry Bridge & that the former hands work there

Ordered that Sion Alford T. Jordan & Wiley Alford be a committee to settle
with the administrator of Archibald McNeel deceased & report to next term

Ordered that Matthew Kelly Constable be allowed the sum of twenty four
shillings for attending the Grand Jury 3 days at this term

Ordered that William Ashleys hands work on the road on which they formerly
worked leading from Griffen Bluff to Lumberton

Deed from Angus Gilchrist to Colin Lindsey proved by James Stewarat

Deed from Duncan McMillan to Daniel McPhauls proved by Duncan McMillan

Deed from Thomas Barnes to Mathew Jones proved by Robert Jones

Wiley Alford who stands charged with being the reputed father of a bastard
child entered into bond for the maintenance of the said child

Deed from Dempsey Fiveash to Dugald McKellar proved by Wiley Alford

Amos Chansey a minor orphan now of the age of nine years was bound to
William Hester untill he ? at the age of twenty one years

Deed from Angus Culbreath to Daniel Culbreath proved by Malcom McEachan

Inventory of the estate of Jesse Carrol deceased returned by administrator

Deed from Alford Rowland to John Storm acknowledged

The administrator of Absolam Atkison deceased returned an amount of sales
of the estate of said deceased

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 10 oclock

Deed from John McColl to Duncan McLeran proved by Angus Taylor

Ordered that John Blount constable be allowed the sum of thirty two
shillings for his attendance during this term

Ordered that the Treasurer of Publick Buildings contract for the building
of a temporary jail to serve as county jail until the other jail is
rebuilt

Deed from Nathan Horn to Levi Holk & Elijah Holk acknowledged

Court adjourned untill court in course
