At a Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions begun and held for the 
County of Robeson at the Town of Lumberton on the first Monday of 
January and the Thirty third year of our Independence AD 1809

Present the worshipfull Malcom Nicholson Samuell Biggs & William 
Ward Esquires

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias when the following gentlemen 
were selected to serve as Grand Jurors during this term / to wit / John 
Storm, James Baxley, Simon Willis, John Brown, Jonathan Wishart, 
James McNatt, John Campbell, Danl McNeill, Malcom McNeill Gilbert 
Gilchrist John Humphry Briton Pitman, and Samuell Rowland

Daniel Loe appeared in open court and being duly sworn made oath 
that sum time in the year 1800 he was present and saw Thomas 
Chanel sign and execute a deed of convayance to Abraham Lamb for 
150 acres of land in this county on the old field swamp on the north 
side which tract of land was originally granted James Moore and that 
he the said Daniel Loe was a subscribing witness to the said deed with 
a certain James Moore
