Thursday January 3rd [1809]

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Malcom Nicholson Joseph Regan Esquires

Ordered that Alexander Rowland be overseer of the road in the room of Nathan 
Powell

Ordered that John Flowers William Sterling and William Ward be a committee to 
settle with Briton Barnes admr of the estate of Joseph Atkins decd and report to 
next term

Ordered that Hardy Councill be exempt from paying county and pore tax for 
reasons shown to the court

Ordered that Angus Gillis be overseer of the road in the room of Angus McGill

Ordered that John Biggs Constable take Tempy Kersey and bring him to next court 
to be bound out as the law directs

Ordered that John Overstreet work on the Creek under Duke Everedy Overseer

Ordered that Nathan Britt be overseer of the road in the room of James Barnes
