Deed from Alexander Rowland to Duglas Powell acknowledged

Deed from John Hartins to William Kinlaw proven by William Wood

Ordered that Richard Lamb administrator of Meedy Lamb deceased be allowed the 
sum of ten pounds eleven shillings & six pence in full compensation for his 
services as such to be allowed out of the estate

John Applewhite and John Hesters who were appointed to the commission of the 
peace at the last General Assembly came into Court and took the necessary Oaths 
for their quallification as such

Jacob Hamons a boy of colour was bound an apprentice to Bengeman Blount who 
entered into bond and security as the law directs

Henery Ivey an olphant [orphan] of the age of nine years was bound and apprence 
[apprenticed] to Jacob Bryant

A committee that was appointed to settle with the admrs of Morgan Drury decd 
reported accordingly

The committee that was appointed to divide the estate of Josiah Barnes decd 
reported accordingly

Wednesday January 4th 1809

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Joseph Wood Malcom Nicolson & Sampson Bridgers Esquires

Ordered that John Biggs who was appointed and qualified Constable to attend the 
Grand Jury at this term be fined ? for intoxication which disqualified him from 
performing his duty

Ordered that Joseph Wood Esquire be cited to appear at next Court to show cause 
why an order of this Court at a former term granting him a toll bridge on the 
Great Swamp should not be recinded

Angus Taylor and Charles Moore Esquires who were appointed to the Commission of 
the Peace at the last General Assembly came into Court and took the several 
oaths necessary for their quallification as such
