County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court (Robeson County) 
– 1806-1813

[Deeds were always either "acknowledged in open court" or "proved by oath 
of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, these have 
been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved by...."]

Daniel McPhaull esquire returned an execution against Benjamin Oxendine for the 
sum of sixteen pounds ten shillings and eight shillings cost levied on one 
hundred and fifty acres of land the property of Benjamin Oxendine lying on 
Georges Marsh in Robeson County – ordered that the sheriff sell the same

Ordered that the sheriff be allowed the sum of Seventy pounds for his extra 
services for the last year

Ordered that the clerk be allowed the sum of twenty pounds for his extra 
services & three pounds for stationary for the last year

Ordered that the county tax be one shilling and six pence on the poll for the 
year 1808

Court adjourned untill to morrow 10 oclock
