Thursday April the 6th 1809

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipfull Joseph Wood Sampson Bridgers & Thomas Sewell Esquires

Ordered that Sion Alford Zachariah Jordan and James McQueen Esquires be a 
committee to settle with Mrs. Flory Danielly Administratrix of the estate of 
John Danielly deceased and that they report to next term

Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to wit Sampson Bridgers 
William Sterling Thomas Sewell Jesse Lee Silas Drake William Moore Junr George 
Thompson Sion Alford Warren Alford Malcom Nicolson Neill Brown Esqr Hugh Brown 
Joseph Newberry Jonathan Wishart William Barnes Capt Charles Thompson Benjamin 
Lewis Jacob Barnes and William Odum as a jury to lay off a road from Lumberton 
to the plantation formerly the plantation of Thomas Shanks and that Thomas 
Sewell Esquire quallify the same

Ordered that Allen McLachlen be allowed the sum of sixteen shillings for his 
attendance on the Jury at March Superior Court last

Court adjourned untill Court in Course

Ordered that John Blount be allowed 32 shillings for attending the jury at this 
term and twenty four shillings for attending the superior court at March term

Ordered that Jacob Mercer be allowed thirty two shillings for attending the jury 
at this term

Ordered that Jacob Blount Senr be overseer of the road from Lumberton to the ten 
mile swamp
