Ordered that the sheriff summon the following gentlemen to attend as Jurors at 
the next Term to Wit William Ashley Saml Johnson Samuel Brit John Hawthorn 
Junior John Willis Richard Lamb John Barnes Saml Storm Jacob Blount Junr 
Nicholas McLauchlin Daniel Mathews John McRae John Brown William Moore Junr 
William Barnes ? Giles Williams Benjamin Edwards Josiah Taylor James Alford 
Josiah Grantham Willis Lowe James Barnes Capt Levi Pittman Charles Thompson Junr 
William Thompson Andrew Fulmore Mitchel Biggs Jacob Freeman George Moore 

Mr. Jacob Pope the Standard Keeper of this county presented his resignation and 
the Court proceeded to elect another in his place

Mr. Archibald Rae was elected Standard Keeper and entered into bond in the sum 
of fifty pounds with Robert Haills his security

Deed from Jacob Rhodes to Duncan McKithen acknowledged

Deed of gift from William Normant to Eliza Normant his wife and William Stocks 
John Haywood Eliza Ann Thomas Aron and James Adelson Normant acknowledged

Deed of gift from William Normant Esq to William Stokes Norment acknowledged

Ordered that Neill Shaw be overseer of the road from the Little Marsh to ? and 
work the usual hands

Thursday October 5th [1809]

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipfull Charles Moore John McNeill Angus Taylor John Hesters 
Esquires

Ordered that an order of April Term last for discontinuing the road from 
Lumberton and crossing Drowning Creek at Norments Bridge be recinded and that 
the said raod be again opened and that William Townsend be overseer of the said 
road and bridge and that all the hands who formerly worked on the same under 
James McRee the last overseer work under the said Townsend

Court adjourned to Court in course
