Ordered that Drury Perry be overseer of the road in the room of James 
Lewis

The sheriff returned the Venire Facias and the Court selected the 
following gentlemen to serve as Grand Jurors at this term to Wit Gilbert 
Sellers Archd Little John Campbell John Little Henry Taylor William 
McNeill Jacob Blount Thomas Harrington William Carlile Alexander 
Johnson Jno Kelly Benjamin Humphry Thomas Musselwhite William 
Britt Daniel Lowe  At the same time John Blount was sworn Constable 
to attend them

Ordered that Joel Bullock be overseer of the road in room of Stephen 
Lee

Ordered that Archibald McCormick (beaver dam) be overseer of the 
road in room of Henry Trawick

Ordered that the road leading from McFarlands Turnpike to the old 
post road near Archd McEacherns ? be discontinued

Ordered that Thomas Sewell be overseer of the road in room of 
Benjamin Lewis

Ordered that Archibald McLain be overseer of the road in room of 
Abram Paul

Ordered that Malcom McCraney pay to Eppy McDiarmid the sum of 
fourteen dollars for the maintanance of a bastard child for one year

Ordered that Douglas Powell administrator of the estate of Restore 
Powell deceased sell the perishable property of the said estate

Sterling Powell was appointed Constable in Captain Barnes district and 
entered into bond with Nicholas Powell and Benjamin Lee his 
securities

The last will and testament of Murdoch McLeod deceased was proved 
in open court and John Shaw was quallified to administer on the estate 
agreeably to the provision of the said will

The petition of Tabitha Wilkes widow of Israel Wilkes deceased 
praying to have her dower laid off after being granted and filed

Deed from Jacob Pope to George Grimsley proved by Francis L 
Haines
