The election of sheriff took place when Alexander Rowland Esquire 
was duly elected the following Justices being present To Wit Joseph 
Newberry Alexander Patterson John Flowers Sherwood Fort Sion 
Alford David McPhaul John Little James McNeill Angus Taylor Samuel 
Biggs Malcom McNeill John Regan Joseph Wood Sampson Bridgers 
William Ward John McNeill William Sterling Joseph Regan John 
Hesters Moses Hill Neill Murphy John McLean Charles Moore William 
McNeill

The sheriff entered into bond with Andrew Fulmore William Ashley 
Alfred Rowland and Robert Haills his securities

William Ashley esquire was elected County Treasurer

Ordered that Malcom McAlpin Junior be overseer of the road between 
Gilchrists Bridge & Donald McDonalds in room of Angus Love

Ordered that John and Charles Pate Elijah Hammons James 
Humphrey & Alexr Townsand work under Daniel McNeill on the 
Saddletree road 

Ordered that Col Regan be overseer of the road in room of Josiah 
Taylor

Ordered that SaddleTree be the dividing line between the Raft Swamp 
road and Stage road

James McAlpin apointed County surveyor who entered into bond with 
Alfred Rowland and Duncan MacAlpin his securities

Robert Haills appointed coroner who entered into bond with Alfred and 
Alexr Rowland his securities

Ordered that Theophilus Griffin be exempt from paying the tax on 920 
acres of land for the year 1810 which he was charged by mistake

Ordered that William Britt Senr be allowed to turn the road round his 
plantation on the west side

Ordered that John Lower be appointed overseer of the Stage Road 
from Ashpool to the state line and that he work all the hands as well

Ordered that Robert Haills Duncan McAlpin and John Little esquire be 
a committee to divide the estate of Hardy Councill deceased among 
the heirs of said Councill

Ordered that Malachia Pitman be overseer of hte road from Mrs 
Rowlands to the ? on Ashpole & that the following hands work under 
him to Wit Nathan Powell Stephen Powell
