Jacob Rhodes vs. John Brock Original Attachment

Robert Haills who was summoned as garnishee to declare upon oath what he is in
debt to John Brock or what property of his he has in his hands, being duly sworn
declareth as follows, that some two or three years ago he gave his bond or
obligatory note to Solomon, Anne & Olive Thomas for one hundred & eighty four
dollars and sixty cents, payable in or about November 1810, which note after
execution and before the day of payment, was as he has understood, assigned by
two of the obligees, to wit, Solomon & Anne, to John Brock[,] that some time
before the note became due he paid to Olive Thomas, one of the obligees one full
third of the amount of the said note, & that the balance of the said note or
bond he believes to be due from him to the said John Brock.

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 9 oclock
