Road to Griffen Bluff in room of Benjamin Lee esq & that Elisha Bass 
and William Grimsley work under him with the former hands

Ordered that John Blount be exempt from the payment of the tax on 
one hundred & one acres of land which was charged to him by mistake

Pleads not Guilty – This case was tried by the following jury To Wit 
William Carlise John McCormick Aaron Braswell Murdoch McInnes 
Jacob Blount Jesse Pitman Jesse Lee Richard Powell Willis Pope 
Archd Ray Lemuel Bullock and Daniel McNeill – who say – they find 
the defendant guilty of the Larceny and Felony as charged in the Bill of 
Indictment – When the Court ordered Duncan Campbell the defendant 
to receive five lashes on his bare back at the Publick Whipping Post

Deed from John Cade to Daniel McCumman proved by Murdock 
McInnes

Ordered that the County Trustee pay to Alexander McMillan esquire 
the sum of six dollars for his assistance and
