County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court 
(Robeson County) – 1806-1813

oath of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, 
these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved 
by...."]

Levied on one lot in the town of Lumberton and 32½ acres of land side 
said lot formerly the property of William Morgan now of the said Archd 
Rae – also 8/ cost ordered that the sheriff sell the said Town Lot and 
Land

Angus Taylor Esquire returned an execution vs Archibald Rae at the 
suit of Zephaniah Leonard for the sum of twenty four pounds and 
Eaight shilling cost levied on one lot in the Town of Lumberton and 
32½ acres of land near said lott formerly the property of William 
Morgan now of the said Archd Rae [this is written in a different hand, 
obviously the recorder took over at this point from the person who had 
already recorded this suit, above]

Ordered that Hugh Flowers mark be a half moon in each ear on the 
underside

Deed from Tabitha Wilkes to John Wilks proven by Murdock Gillis

Aly Farr a person of coulor was bound an apprentiince to Edward 
Grantham untill she arive to the age of twenty one years (sic)

Ordered that Joel Stevens be overseer of that parte of the road leading 
from Lumberton to the west side of Saddletree which Jacob Rhodes 
engages to keep up and that he work the hands formerly working 
under said Rhodes

Ordered that John Pitman be overseer of the road in room of William 
Looper

Ordered that Alexr Patterson Esqr Malcom McNeill and Neill McAlpen 
be a committee to settle with the admr of Peeter Buchan decd

Ordered that the County Tax for the present year be two shillings and 
six pence on the poll

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 9 oclock
