County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court 
(Robeson County) – 1806-1813

oath of...." and then ordered to be registered; to eliminate redundancy, 
these have been abstracted simply as "acknowledged" or "proved 
by...."]

John Regan Esquire was reappointed Register for this County and 
entered into bond with Jonathan Wishart his security

Duncan McMillan appointed Constable and entered into bond with 
Edward Currie his security

Archibald McKay was appointed guardian to Nancy and Catharine 
Henderson minor orphans and entered into bond in the sum of 1200 
dollars with Gilbert Taylor his security

John Regan Joseph Wood & Joseph Regan who were a committee to 
lay off the dower of Nancy Powers widow of Samuel Powers made a 
report

Angus Taylor Alfred Rowland & Benjamin Lee and Charles Moore 
esqrs who were appointed to contract for repairing the Court House 
reported that they contracted with Mr William Brown to execute? said 
repairs and that he unndertook

same for the sum of one hundred and eighty five dollars – they also 
report [that] he has performed the same agreeable to contract Upon 
which it was ordered by the Court that the said William Brown receive 
the sum of six pounds two shillings and six pence for extra services – 
see report, filed together with the amount of the contract

Court adjourned untill tomorrow morning 10 oclock
