Tuesday May the 26th 1812

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful William McNeill Edward Curry John Hesters & Duncan 
McBryde Esquires

John Gilchirst Esquire produced his License to practice as an attorney and took 
the several oaths necessary for his quallification as such and was admited to 
practice in this Court

Hugh Brown and Neill McAlpin the Executors to the last will and testament of 
Archd Buie deceased renounced all their claim to the execution of the said will

Ordered that the Negro man slave named Cuffy of the estate of hte late Charles 
Thompson deceased which has been allotted to the representatives of Fanny 
Philips the daughter of hte said Charles Thompson be sold by the exr to the 
order to make equal distribution between on a credit of nine months ten days 
notes of the sale by order

Ordered that Joshua Merser be exempt from the payment of one poll tax which was 
charged to him by mistake for the year 1811

Ordered that Thomas Mussellwhite be exempt from the payment of one poll tax for 
the year 1811

Ordered that Parky and Sally Dees the illigemate children of Nancy Dees and 
James Lowry be delivered to the said James Lowry to be kept by him till they 
are 18 years of age he giving bond in the sum of 500 dollars to keep them off 
the Parrish
