County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court (Robeson County)

Tuesday August 25th 1812

Court met according to adjournment

Present the worshipful Charles Moore Joseph Wood Danl McPhaul John McLean 
Esquires

Ordered that Parky and Sally Deese the illegitimate children of Nancy Deese and 
James Lowry be delivered to the said James Lowrey to be kept by him till they 
are 18 years of age agreeable to the order of last Court and that the sheriff of 
the County see the present order carried into effect

The nuncupative last will and testament of Daniel Douglas deceased was admited 
to record. It having proved by the oaths of Mary McColl and Catharine Chisholm

Ordered that the new road from Josiah Thompsons to where it intersects the old 
road above Mr Littles be in future the Public road and that the old road between 
these points be discontinued

Ordered that a Public Bridge be errected across Lumber River where the bridge 
called Willis's Bridge formerly stood and that Angus Taylor Alfred Rowland and 
Malcom McNeill Esquires be Commissioners to let out the building of said bridge 
subject to the direction of the treasurer of Public Building.  That the expense 
of hbuilding the said bridge be a County charge except so much as may be 
defrayed by a subscription paper filed in the clerks office

Deed from John Babtist Broward and Elizar Broward to Jesse Lee proved by Peter 
Perry at the same time Peter Perry signed an ? or quit claim deed ot Jesse Lee
