County court minutes 1797-1813, North Carolina, Superior Court

Ordered that Peter Johnson be overseer of the road in room of Danl 
Johnson from Archd McEachens to new Garden

Duncan Curry's road district was divided & on the Raft Swamp Road & 
John Buchan was appointed overseer from Elisha Harrels to Danl 
Galbreaths and that Daniel McNeills hands Alexr Pattersons hands 
Daniel McNeill John Galbreath and hands Malcom Galbreath and his 
hands work under him

Ordered that James Lilly be overseer of the road in room of Gideon 
Elvington

John Regan Esq returned an execution against John Blake for the sum 
of fifteen dollars and sixty four cents with twelve shillings costs at the 
instance of Danl McNeill and levied on one hundred acres of land the 
property of said Blake on the south side of the great marsh two miles 
below the stage Road near Lees Branch Ordered that the sheriff sell 
the same

Ordered that James McNatt Junr pay to Sally Baggot the sum of eight 
dollars for the maintainance of a bastard child for the year 1812

Deed from Solomon Thomas William Morgan and ? Morgan to Jacob 
Rhodes proved by James McQueen

Ordered that James McRee & Malcom McNeill build a mill on Bear 
Swamp opposite McRees plantation

Deed from John McKay to John McPherson proved by Alexr Black

Ordered that Daniel McCallum and Alexr McKay and John McNair work 
on the road leading from Lowrys Road to the County line

Ordered that Daniel Buie be overseer of the road in room of Alexr 
McBryde from Gilbert McMillans to Neil McGills

Ordered that Adam McKays mill be in future deemed a Publick mill

Ordered that Neill Crawford be allowed to turn the road at his 
plantation and that a Jury of twelve men be summoned in the 
neighborhood who shall report the alterations to next Court

Deed from William Waters Senr to William Waters Junr acknowledged

Deed from James Carter to William Waters Senr proved by Francis L 
Haynes

Court adjourned untill tomorrow 9 oclock
