On the left is Isham Lamb and to the right is Alladin Strong Wishart. Lamb entered the Confederate service at 18 years old with Company B, 50th North Carolina Troops. He is buried at the Prevatte Cemetery on Hwy 41 near Lumberton. Wishart enlisted at 19 into Company A, 31st North Carolina Troops. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal by February 19, 1863. On September 30, 1864, he was wounded at Fort Harrison in Virginia. On the night of the 30th, the 31st North Carolina had nearly been destroyed. There were only about 60 men left under the command of a Lieutenant. Wishart was very fortunate to have survived. He is burried in the Collins Cemetery near Lumberton.
