Robeson County, NC - Marriage of Miss Neta Calahan & B.G. Walters, 1913 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Miss Neta Calahan of Bladenboro & Mr. B. G. Walters of Barnesville. Reported for The Robesonian. At the home of Rev. I. P. Hedgpeth in Lumberton on Tuesday night, 23rd, Mr. B. G. Walters and Miss. Neta Calahan were quietly married, Mr. Hedgpeth officiating. After the marriage they left on the 9:40 train for Bladenboro en route to their future home at Whiteville. Mr. Walters is an excellent farmer and business man of sterling character, one of Barnesville's best young men. The bride is one of Bladenboro's choice young ladies whose very excellent disposition and manners have won her a place in the hearts of all who know her. From the contributor: Benjamin Gordon Walters was born Feb 20, 1880 and died Oct 15, 1967. He married Mary Elneta Calahan Dec 23, 1913. Benjamin Gordon was the son of William Walters and Nellie Rhodes.
