          I Hugh Brown of North Carolina Robeson County through the
          aboundant mercy and goodness of God, tho, weak in body, yet of
          a sound and perfect understanding and memory do make this my
          Last Will & Testament as follows––
          Item– I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife the
          plantation i now live on and Negro Clo and the child that is
          now at her breast, the black horse, the bay mare and colt, and
          gray filley and the most part of the stock as long as she lives
          with Duncan my son and at her death the whole to be and remain
          my son Duncan's and all land joining the plantation in all four
          hundred acres.
          Item– I give and bequeath to my son Hugh a Negro boy named
          Lingo and two hundred acres of land above my son William's
          where he now lives.
          Item– I give and bequeath to my son William a Negro boy
          named Simon and fifty acres of land joining John.
          Item– I give to my son Neill Negro Sall and two hundred
          acres of land on Gilles Branch where Alexander Campbell now
          lives.
          Item– I give and bequeath to my son John one hundred acres
          of land on Rockfish Creek near John Stewart and Jonstones.
          Item– I give to my daughter Anna a Negro girl named
          Chaine.
          Item– I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary one cow and
          calf in witness whereof have hereunto set my hand and seal
