This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Barbara Hootman ==================================================================== THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ANGUS BROWN WRITTEN 1820 - PROBATED 1826 In the name of God Amen I ANGUS Brown of the County of Robeson and State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory (blessed be ???) do this 26th day of July AD 1820 Make and publish this my last Will and testament in Manner following that is to say first I ordain that all my debts be paid Secondly I give and bequeath to my son Angus Brown all My Land including the improvements and an equal share of the stock of Cattle Hogs and Sheep with his sisters Mary Conley and Flora Brown and his Mother Catherine Brown and likewise the filly to be his exclusively and also an equal share with his mother and two sisters Mary Conley and Flora Brown of the household furniture and every the?? things to me belonging. Conditioned that the said Angus Brown shall decently support his Mother and the above named sisters during their continuance to live with him But on his refusing or neglecting to support them as above hi is to have but an equal part of all the property with them. Thirdly I bequeath to my son Duncan Brown my Bay Horse I likewise bequeath to my son Neill Brown two pigs To my son Arch Brown I bequeath One Dollar and to my daughter Margaret Brown I bequeath One Dollar And I appoint my son Angus Brown and My friend Neill Brown Executor to this My last will and testament In Witness whereof I hereunto set My hand and affix My seal this day and year first above written D McDonald (his mark) Angus Brown Alexander (McNeill?)
