Also all my house hold goods and plantation tools likewise all my Negroes only an exception of three Negro boys namely Jo, Madison and Bob which said Negroes I dispose of in the following manner: I give to my beloved daughter Sarah Reynolds the above Negro boy Jo. I give to my beloved daughter Patsey Inman the above Negro boy Bob. I give my daughter Hariot the above negro boy named Madison. The rest of my property I give to my wife during her widowhood and if she remains unmarried the above given or described property to be hers during her natural life. I also give to my daughter Emma Lewis one Negro girl named Jane. I give to my youngest daughter Tracey Lewis a Negro girls name Floroa. I hereby declare that it is my wish and intention that all my children shall have an equal share of my estate only my daughter Patsey Inman who has had one hundred and ninety dollars which must be accounted for at the division of my property. --- Lucrecy Lewis vs. Allen Inman Guardian to minor heirs of James Lewis appealed to Superior Court. At a court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions in Lumberton on the 4th Monday of November in the year of our Lord 1829 the last will and testament of James Lewis dec'd late of Robeson County being offered for probate and the same being objected to it is ordered by the court that the case be sent to the Superior Court for trial by jury. It is ordered that Allen Inman be appointed guardian to Mary, Eliza, Emily, Nancy, Caroline and Tracy Lewis minor heirs of the said James Lewis to attend to their interests in the above issue.
