Silas Paul died Intestate.  The following is the record of the Probate 
Court of Robeson co., NC:

.... in the matter of the administration of the estate of Silas Paul 
before W.E. Thompson,  probate judge.David Paul, being sworn, doth say:  
That Silas Paul, late of said county, is dead without leaving any will 
and testament, and that he is the proper person entitled to Letters of 
Administration on the estate of the said Silas Paul.  Further, that the 
value of said estate, so far as can be ascertained at the date of this 
application, is about $300.00 and that Abraham Paul, Samuel Paul, Dicey 
Ann, wife of Neill McDuffie, William Paul who removed to Texas, Elias 
Paul, Mary Paul, Rebecca McLean, wife of Archibald McLean, Mary Fowler, 
Henry Paul, Elias Paul, Ellen, wife of Stephen Bass, John R. Paul, Viney, 
wife of Duncan McDuffie, Abraham Paul, Peter Paul, Margaret __?__, Ed 
Bass, Wiley Paulıs children, names not known, [Wiley had died by 1870 in, 
most likely, Tippah Co., MS]  and Rowland Paul are entitled as heirs and 
distributees thereof.  Sworn to and subscribed before me, this 23rd day 
of April, 1875.  W.E. Thompson, Probate Judge.

Wife:  Susan A. Paul-possess and remain in full control and supervision 
of all property both personal and real during her lifetime.  After her 
death, each of children:  Paul, Martha Dusday Paul, Elias, Asbury 
Paul,Iva Thomas Paul, to remain and share with her the benefits of a home 
together with the renummeration that may arise therefrom.
Sons:  Paul and Elias, Asbury Paul, daughter:  Martha Dusday Paul:  after 
motherıs death, equally share all personal property between them.

Youngest son:  Iva Thomas Paul:  after motherıs death, all real estate in 
land-containing 100 acres.
