I give and bequeath unto my beloved Son Uriah Pitman Two dollars to be paid by my executors at my decease, he having been advanced heretofore. I give and bequeath unto my beloved Son William Pitman the following tracts of Land to wit: Fifteen Acres off the lower end of what is Known as the Persimmon Ridge land and on which the Said William Pitman now resides; Fifty acres being the premises whereon I now live; One tract of One hundred and fifty acres bought of Benjamin Freeman; One tract Known as the John Brumble land, excepting so much of said tract as has heretofore been disposed of to Calvin C. Britt. I further give and bequeath unto my said Son William Pitman all my Black Smith Tools. I give and bequeath unto my beloved Son Wright Pitman the following tracts of Land to wit: One tract adjoining my residence purchased from Dennis Lennon containing one hundred Acres; The undivived half of an One hundred & fifty acre tract lying between the Taylor place and the tract Uriah Pitman purchased of me. I give and bequeath to my beloved daughters Penelope Williams, wife of Rhesa Williams and Charlotte Taylor, wife of Willis Taylor One hundred and fifty acres of Land Known as the Mills Taylor place to be equally divided between them. Also to my daughter Charlotte Taylor One Loom and fixtures. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Helen Pitman, wife of Henry L. Pitman One Cow & Calf and Ten Dollars. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Emma Britt wife of Calvin C. Britt, One Cow & Calf. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Experience West wife of Middleton E. West One Cow & Calf and Ten dollars. I give and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Harriet Willoughby wife of John Willoughby the undivided half of one hundred & fifty acres of Land; the other half of which has already been divsed to my Son Wright Pitman. Also to my said daughter Harriet I bequeath one Cow & Calf. I give and bequeath to Obedience Freeman Ten dollars and one Sow & pigs. I desire that the residue of my estate of every description after defraying my funeral expenses be equally divided among all my legal heirs, Share and Share alike. Lastly – I hereby Constitute and appoint my worthy Sons William Pitman and Wright Pitman, Executors to this my last Will and Testament to execute every part thereof according to the true intent and meaning of the same. In testimony of all which I the said Stephen Pitman hath hereunto Set my hand and affixed my seal the Sixteenth day of August A. D. 1861.
