This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Michael Walters MeWalters7@webtv.net ==================================================================== This is the Will of John Walters born 1814 Robeson County and died Robeson County 1902 He was the son of William Walters jr and Absela Spear Pittman Will of John Walters I, John Walters, of the state of North Carolina, and County of Robeson, being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence, do make and devise this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say: I give and devise to my beloved daughters Amanda Sealey, Lucy J Prevatte, and Frances P Britt, my Conner Tract of land where the old house stood and known as the Grave-Yard place. I want my daughter Frances P Britt to have all of the tract of land lying to the west side of the road and I also want what is on the east side divided by Lucy J and Amanda divided from the road to the Swamp divided on there own expense. I also give Amanda the upper half and next to the Ford Place and Lucy J the lower half next to he Hedgpeth place. I also give and devise to my beloved daughters Amanda, Lucy J and Frances one bed each, the bed I give to Frances P is the bed and furniture I leave at my son John's . I also give to my beloved sons the tract of land where Phillip Walters now resides with the consideration that they Joseph, William, Daniel and John Walters will support him his lifetime, but if either of them fail to do there part the others which do support him shall have the said tract. I also give to my son John the balance of my personal property to wit, Hogs, Bacon, Corn, Fodder, and with the consideration that he takes care of me my lifetime and pay my burial expenses. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my trusty friend, E McQueen my lawful executor to all intents and purposes to execute my last will and testament. his John x Walters mark
