Educated at Brownsville College, at Southwestern Baptist University 1879-1883, 
and at Nashville College 1884-1885.
Entered railway service Feb. 1, 1889, since which he has been consecutively to 
Jan. 1891, secretary and clerk to master in chancery International & Great 
Northern Rd;
Jan. 1891 to Feb. 1, 1905, with the same road successively as secretary and 
assistant to receiver, secretary to general manager, general manager's 
assistant, chief clerk to vice-president and general superintendent, chief 
clerk to vice-president and general manager, purchasing agent and personal 
injury claim adjuster, passenger and ticket agent at San Antonio, Tex., 
traveling passenger agent and traveling passenger and freight agent;
Feb. 1, 1905 to April 1907, southwestern passenger agent Missouri Pacific Ry 
at San Antonio, Tex.;
April 1907 to July 1908, passenger and ticket agent Missouri Kansas & Texas Ry 
at San Antonio;
Aug. 1908 to Jan. 1909, car service agent same road International & Great 
Northern Rd, Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe Ry, Galveston Henderson & Houston Rd, 
Trinity & Brazos Valley Ry and Southern Pacific system at Galveston;
Feb. to July 1909, checking in freight accounting department International & 
Great Northern Rd;
July 1909 to June 1, 1911, chief clerk to superintendent same road at 
Palestine, Tex.;
June 1, 1911 to date, general storekeeper same road.
