STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA       SUPERIOR COURT OF LAW & EQUITY
ROCKINGHAM COUNTY              June  Term 1850

WILLIAM F. CARTER and his wife, CORA  ISORA CARTER, and others 

          Vs.

NATHANIEL W. WILLIAMS and SUSAN S. GALLOWAY

Petition to Sell or Divide Land 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court the defendant, NATHANIEL W. 
WILLIAMS, resides outside the limits of this State: it is therefore ordered by 
the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, a 
newspaper printed in Greensboro, that unless the said Defendants appear at our 
next Court to be held in the Court House at Wentworth on the 5th Monday after 
the 4th Monday in September  next, then and there to plead answer or demur, 
judgment will be taken pro confesso and heard ex parte .
Witness, JOHN L. LESUEUR  , Clerk of our Court, at office in Wentworth, on the 
18 th day  June , 1850/.
