ROCKINGHAM COUNTY               August Term 1850

WILLIAM H. PRICE, THOMAS D. PRICE and ALLEN PRICE, Executor of JEREMIAH PRICE, 
deceased

                    Vs.

JOHN PRICE, GOODING PRICE, GRANVILLE PRICE, QUINTON PRICE, HARDEN PRICE, 
JOSEPH ODELL and his wife, ANNE ODELL, PLEASANT NORMAN and his wife, LUCY 
NORMAN

Petition to Sell Slaves

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the  defendants in this 
case, JOHN PRICE, GOODING PRICE, GRANVILLE PRICE, QUINTON PRICE, HARDEN PRICE, 
JOSEPH ODELL and his wife, ANNE ODELL, PLEASANT NORMAN and his wife, LUCY 
NORMAN are not residents of this state: it is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Patriot, a newspaper 
printed in Greensboro, that unless the said Defendants appear at our next 
Court to be held in the Court House at Wentworth on the 4th Monday in November 
1850, then and there to plead answer or demur, judgment final  will be taken 
pro confesso and heard ex parte as to them.

Witness, THOMAS  B. WHEELER, Clerk of our Court at office on the 4th Monday of 
August ,  1850.
