Rockingham County, NC - Thomas Searcy - Act For Costs, 1827 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Act to authorise the Public Treasurer to pay to Thomas Searcy, the cost of a suit wherein the State was plaintiff, and General William Bethell was defendant Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the Public Treasurer be directed and he is hereby authorised to pay Thomas Searcy, Clerk of the Superior Court for the county of Rockingham, the sum of nine dollars seven and a half cents, as costs incurred by the prosecution of a suit in said Court and county of Rockingham, by the State against General William Bethell.
