ROCKINGHAM COUNTY               November Term 1847

ALEXANDER TATE and others 

          Vs.

THOMAS DALTON and JULIA JOYCE, BENNET A. JOYCE, JOSEPH T. JOYCE, JOHN B. TODD, 
ELLY JOYCE, HENRY W. JOYCE, CAROLINA MATILDA JOYCE and LEMUEL JOYCE

Original Bill 

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, JULIA 
JOYCE, BENNET A. JOYCE, JOSEPH T. JOYCE, JOHN B. TODD, ELLY JOYCE, HENRY W. 
JOYCE, CAROLINA MATILDA JOYCE and LEMUEL JOYCE, reside outside the limits of 
this State: it is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for 
six successive weeks in the Patriot, a newspaper printed in Greensboro, that 
unless the said Defendants appear at our next Court to be held in the Court 
House at Wentworth on the 5th Monday after the 4th Monday in March A.D. 1848, 
then and there to plead answer or demur, judgment will be taken pro confesso 
and heard ex parte .
Witness, JOHN L. LESUEUR  , Clerk of our Court, at office in Wentworth, on the 
25th day  of November, 1847.
