Deed 106 acres

This Indenture made this [blank] day of [blank] in the year of our Lord 
one thousand eight hundred & twenty, between Robert MEANS Senr. Of the 
county of Rockingham in the State of North Carolina of the one part & 
Robert MEANS Junr of the county & state aforesaid of the other part, 
Witnesseth, that he the said Robert MEANS Senr. for and in consideration 
of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Robert MEANS 
Junr. Before the Sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof 
is hereby acknowledged - hath given granted bargained & sold & by these 
presents do give grant bargain & sell unto the said Robert MEANS Junr. His
heirs & assigns forever a certain parcel or tract of Land situate lying & 
being in the county of Rockingham in the state of North Carolina & on the 
Waters of [blank] and bounded as follows (to wit)  Begining, on Robert 
MEANS Senrs. Corner beach runing thence north fifty six acres east Two 
hundred & twenty poles to a black oak  Thence North twenty five degrees 
West thirty eight poles To a white oak on the road then West one hundred 
and sixty nine poles to a Spanish oak Then South one hundred and fifty 
four poles to the begining  containing by estimation one hundred & six 
acres, more or less, With all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in 
any wise appertaining to have & to hold to the said Robert MEANS Junr. 
His heirs & assigns forever and the said Robert MEANS Senr.  Doth hereby 
Warrant & forever defend the said land & premises against himself or any 
other person or persons Whatsoever, Witness my hand & seal the day and 
year first above Written.

**This is not an error in transcription - the deed is between Robert Sr. 
and Robert Jr. - and the order to record does say William Sr. and William 
Jr.  (Jeri L. Corbitt)
