Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Motley for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Drury the receipt whereof he doth acknowledge hath Bargained Sold, and by these presents do bargain sell alien and confirm unto him the said Drury Smith his heirs and assigns forever, one certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Rockingham, containing by estimation one hundred acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as followeth to wit; Beginning at a Sycamore tree on the North side of Mayo River at the mouth of a Branch, thence up the said Branch to a black oak, thence to a white oak in the old line, thence East along the said line to two Beaches on the West side of the Green Spring Branch, thence crossing the green Spring branch three times to a Black Oak on the Bank of the said River, thence up the said river to the first Station. The reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, right and estate, interest and benefit claim and demand whatsoever of the said William Motley of in or to the same or any part thereof, to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, and all and singular the premises with their and every of their appurtenances, to the only use and behoof of him the said Drury Smith his heirs and assigns forever. And the said William Motley doth hereby for himself and his Heirs warrant and defend the same forever from the claim or title of any person or persons whatsoever.
