C. Soyers from E. S. Withers & Wife Deed This indenture made and entered into this the day [sic] of October 1881, between E. S. Withers and wife Mollie A. Withers of Stokes County State of North Carolina parties of the first part and J. C. Soyers and wife M. J. of the County of Rockingham State aforesaid parties of the second part, Witnesseth, That for and in consideration of the sum of Six hundred Dollars lawful Money in hand paid by the party of the second part, unto the first parties receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said first parties, The parties of the first part doth hereby and with these presents transfer, alien [sic] and convey and by these presents do confirm said conveyance, transfer and Sale unto the said Second parties their heirs and assigns forever All that tract piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in Oregonville Townshhip County of Rockingham State of North Carolina adjoining the lands of R. L. Warriner, John Harris and others, Known as the Warriner plantation being the piece or parcel of land allotted to M. A. Warriner Heir at law of Rober [sic] H. Warriner dec. and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at a Hickory Harris corner at the Letter H on plat, North 29 degrees East with Lot No 8 34 poles, North 15 degrees East 24 poles, North 35 degrees East 40 poles, North 20 poles to the corner of Lots Nos. 7 & 8, North 27 degrees West 54 poles to the Creek, up the Creek as it meanders to Harris corner, Thence 42 degrees East with Harris line 105 poles to Harris Corner Turkey Oak, Thence South to the Beginning and containing one hundred and thirty acres more or less. Together with all privileges and appurtenances thereto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the same with all the improvements unto the same belonging unto the said J. C. Soyers and wife M. J. their heirs and assigns forever, and they the said first parties Withers and wife Mollie A. Withers, do by these presents warrant and forever defend all the above mentioned described mentioned and described [sic] piece or parcel of land with every part and article unto the same belonging or in anywise appertaining unto the said J. C. Soyers and wife their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all persons or souls whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said E. L. Withers and Mollie A.
