Deed  68 acres of Land

This Indenture made this 27th day of February one thousand eight hundred 
and fifteen Between Jemiah KING in the county of Rockingham and State of 
North Carolina of the one part and Thomas STAPLETON of the county of 
Rockingham and state aforesaid, Witnesseth that the said Jemiah KING for 
and in consideration to him in the sum of seventy five dollars in hand 
paid at and before the signing and sealing of these presents the receipt 
whereof I the said Jemiah KING doth hereby acknowledge, and hereof 
exonerate aquit and discharge, the said Jemiah KING heirs and assigns, 
hath given granted Bargained and sold, aliened enfeoffed and confirmed 
and do by these presents give grant Bargain sell and confirm unto the 
said Thomas STAPLETON his heirs and assigns sixty eight acres of land 
Situate lying and being on the waters of Wolfinland Creek in the County 
aforesaid.
   Begining at a chesnut in Thomas POUNDS line, thence with his line 
North  twenty eight degrees West sixty four poles to a chesnut Benjamin 
WILLIAMS  corner, thence along that line South sixty five D. West one 
hundred and  eighty two poles crossing two branches of the said creek to 
a chesnut, the other corner of Benjamin WILLIAMS standing in the 
_______________ Branch, thence South sixty five D. Est with John KINGS 
line forty two poles to a white oak in GRE___S line, then along that 
line North Seventy D East sixty poles to a black oak, then South fifteen 
degrees East sixteen  poles to a red oak, then North sixty five degrees 
East one hundred and thirty two poles to the first Station and contains 
sixty eight acres of land; together with all and Singular its 
appurtenances, woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and 
appurtenances to the said land belonging or appertaining to hold to the 
said Thomas STAPLETON his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Jemiah 
KING and his heirs the said tenement and premises and every part thereof 
against him and his Heirs and against all and every other person or 
persons whatsoever laying lawful Right or claim thereunto: to have and 
to hold to the said Thomas STAPLETON his heirs and assigns forever do 
warrant and defend by these presents. --- In Witness hereof I the said 
Jemiah KING have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal on the day and 
year aforesaid.

   The Execution of the within deed from Nhemiah KING to Thomas 
STAPLETON was duly acknowledged in open court by said Nehemiah and on 
motion ordered to be recorded.
