Infantry Casualty List The following casualty list from the 45th N.C. Infantry Regiment contains those men listed as being from Rockingham Co. Although the regiment was made up of men from surrounding counties as well, it was predominantly comprised of Rockingham County soldiers. When conflicting dates or records were found both are shown. The 45th N.C. Infantry Regiment surrendered at Appomattox Court House, Virginia in April 1865. There were 7 officers and 88 men remaining in the regiment.
