Certificate of Pension issued the 27th day of Sept, 1852. (on separate page) John Oliver the Son of James and Susannah Oliver was born December 26, 1785. Polly Oliver was born April 27, 1787. Sally Oliver was born Jan 16, 1789. Susannah Oliver was born April 1791. James Oliver was born October 20, 1792. Samuel Oliver was born May 28, 1794. Elizabeth Oliver was born Jan. 22, 1796. Nancy Oliver was born Nov. 22, 1797. (on another page) On the May 27, 1852 in Rockingham Co, NC, Alex Wall appeared and vouched that James and Susannah Oliver had lived together as man and wife for many years and had several children: John, Samuel, Mary, Susannah, Elizabeth, Nancy, and Sarough (sp?) That they lived together until about 1840 at which time “the old man died”, and his widow is still living at the old residence. Additional Comments: James Oliver is thought to be the son of George Oliver and Jemima Reagan. His wife was Susannha Lemons. She was living in Rockingham Co, NC in 1850 in the home of her daughter Sarah and husband William Shepperd.
