Mrs. Texie Hopkins Smith

Stoneville - Mrs. Texie Hopkins Smith, 94, of Route 3 died Thursday
at Martinsville Hospital in Martinsville, Va.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ray Funeral Home.  Burial will be in
Beaver Island Baptist Church cemetary.

She was a native of Patrick County, Va. and a member of Beaver Island
Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Arthur and John Smith of Stoneville, Charlie Smith
of Martinsville, daughters, Mrs. Ollie Reid of Mayodan, Mrs. Katie Sparks 
of Stoneville, Mrs. Gladys Hopkins of Eden; 13 grandchildren, 
12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.
