Cobb, 87, of Reidsville / REIDSVILLE -- Mrs. Mary Berry Soyars Cobb, 87, widow of John W. Cobb, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. L. R. Saunders, 405 Harrison Street. Mrs. Cobb, daughter of John C. and Betty Soyars, spent most of her life in Rockingham County. She lived in Caswell County for a short time. Since 1937 when her husband, a Rockingham County farmer, died, she has been making her home with her daughter in Reidsville.. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. R. [sic - it should say E.] L. Walker of Winston-Salem, Mrs. Bulah Loftis of Greensboro and Mrs. Saunders; a half sister, Mrs. J. R. Reagan of Danville; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today at Congregational Christian Church by the pastor, the Rev. Tucker G. Humphries, assisted by the Rev. J. W. Covington and the Rev. Carl Usher.
