NC Vital Statistics, Death Certificates Vol 2450 pg 62 indicates that 
Mr. Charles Pleasant Soyars, age 71 years 6 months 2 days, died on 2 May 1943, 
in Williamsburg within Rockingham County from cancer of the stomach. He had been 
dealing with the cancer for 9 months previous to his demise. He was a native of 
Rockingham County and was born on 8 Oct 1871. His parents were John C. Soyars 
and Mary Armfield both born in North Carolina. He owned a farm which he tended 
with his wife, Bettie Lynn (Margaret Elizabeth Lynn Soyars). She was the 
informant on the certificate. The funeral was directed by Wilkerson Funeral 
Home. Burial was at Lowes Cemetery in Reidsville, North Carolina.
