ROCKINGHAM N.C. MARRIAGE BONDS Call # R NC 929.375663 m c1 (found at 
Madison County Library, Madison N.C. near Wentworth N.C. The act which 
authorized the marriage bonds was passed in 1741 and it remained the 
law until 1868 when the present form of marriage license was 
authorized
