Wright Nathan Wright WILL OF ELIZABETH WRIGHT, 1840 In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Wright of the County of Rockingham and State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory but calling to mind that is is the lot of all to die do publish and declare the following as my last Will and Testament. 1st I give and bequeath all my Estate both real and personal after the payment of my just debts to my Six following Children (to wit) Mariah Jordan, Delila McCain, Mary Scott, Nathan Wright, James Wright and Joshua G. Wright to be equally divided between them, share and share alike. 2nd It is my especial Will and desire that my Negros be not sold in making ...?...of them among my six(?) children but that they may be divided so that if it be not convenient to give slaves to all a fair and proper ...?...may take place so as to require those who receive Slaves as valuable slaves to pay money over to those who receive no slaves as those of less value so that equal justice may be done to each, and it is my request to my said Children who may receive salves not to sell them unless circumstances may render it absolutely necessary. 3rd I hereby nominate and appoint Nathan Wright my Executor to execute this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others by me ...?...made. I give my son Nathan Wright all of that Pasture(?) of property Hertofor bequeathed to my son Johsua G.
