THIS ENTRY READS: " Lydia Dill, daughter of Peter Dill of Rowan County, North Carolina married James Copeland, son of Nicholas Copeland of Orange County, Virginia, in the Salisbury Courthouse on the 17th of April, 1769. William Copeland, his uncle, was bondsman. Witnesses were John Yoakley and Thos. Maxwell.".
