DEED BOOK 4, Page 10 14 September 1758 This Indenture made the Fourteenth Day of September in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred & Fifty Eight Between Robert Jones, Jun. Of Northampton County in the Province of North Carolina of the One part, and ALEXANDER HUNTER of the County of Bedford in the Collony of Virginia of the Other part. Witnesseth, That the said Robert Jones for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty two pounds Virginia Money to him in hand paid by the Said Alexr. Hunter at or before the Sealing & Delivery of these presents, the Receipt whereof he Doth hereby acknowledge Hath Given Granted Bargained sold Aliened Enfeoffed Released & Confirmed, And by these presents, Doth Grant Bargain & Sell Alien Enfeoff Release & Confirm unto the Said Alexander Hunter, his Heirs & Assigns for ever, All that Tract and parcel of Land Situate Lying & being in the County of Rowan & on the North Side of Dan River, Containing by Estimation, Six Hundred & twenty acres, be the same more or less, and is Bounded as followeth, Viz. Beginning at a walnut on Said Jones’s line on the sd. River, thence Running North two hundred & eighty poles to a White oak, thence East by a line of Mark’d trees to Hamptons Corner, thence South by Hamptons line to the River Afforesaid, thence up the sd. River to the beginning. And Also the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders, Rents Issues & Services thereof, And Also the Estate Right Title Interest property Claim and Demand whatsoever of him the Said Robert Jones, of in and to the sd. Tract of Land and premises, And of in and to every part & parcel thereof, To have and To hold, the sd. Land & premises unto the Said Alexander Hunter & his Heirs & Assigns for Ever, And the Said Robert Jones for himself, his Heirs, Exrs. & Admrs. Doth Covenant & Grant to & with the Said Alexander Hunter his Heirs, that he the Said Robert & his Heirs unto the said Alexander Hunter his Heirs and Assigns, Shall and Will Warrant & for ever Defend the Said Land and premises unto the Said Alexr. Hunter his heirs and Assigns, Unto the only proper Use & behoof of the sd. Alexr. His Heirs and Assigns, Against the Lawful Claim of him the sd. Robert Hones his Heirs and Assigns, or any other person whatsoever Lawfully Claiming or to Claim from by and under him them or any of them, And Also that the Said Alexander Hunter his Heirs & Assigns shall and may at all times for ever hereafter have hold occupy Possess & Enjoy the above mentioned Land and premises and every part & parcel thereof, Without the Let hinderance Mollestation or Disturbance of him the sd. Robert Jones his Heirs or Assigns, in Witness Whereof the sd. Robert Jones hath hereunto Set his hand and Affixed his Seal the Day & year first Above written.
