Catherine Beck (C) and her son Daniel (L) Beck both of Sevier Co., TN, to Ludwick Beck of Rowan for L125.10, 196 A on W side of Dutchmans Crk adj Squire Boon and Isaac Frees. It being half of land conveyed by Michael Beam to Jacob Beck, the late husband of Catharine, who devised it to his two sons Jacob and Ludwick excepting one third part which was devised to Catharine during her life, and at her death it was to go to the sons. Catharine had power of attorney made to her by her son Daniel, but he was now of lawful age and present. Joseph Lanning and wf Elizabeth as son-in-law and daughter of Catharine authorized the land conveyance. It was part of a Granville grant of 697 acres to Peter Beam on 21 Dec 1761 [05:152] who conveyed it to John Allen [05:220], and he transferred it to Joseph Bryan [06:468] who with his wf Alice sold it to Richard Jacks. Jacks and wf Anne conveyed it to Abraham Adams, and he and his wf Trifena[?] sold it to Michael Beam [08:282] who with his wf Elizabeth conveyed it to Jacob Beck [08:284].
