N.C To James & Henry Ellis This Indenture, made the Thirteenth day of November in the year of our lord one hundred and Twenty Five between Anderson Ellis of Rowan in the state of North Carolina of the one part and James Ellis & Henry Ellis of the county of Rowan and state of North Carolina of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said Anderson Ellis for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred Fourteen Dollars and Twenty nine cents to him in hand paid by the said James Ellis and and Henry Ellis the receipt wherof the said Anderson Ellis doth herby acknowledge…hath given, granted, bargained and sold, aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain and sell, alien and confirm unto the said JamesEllis and Henry Ellis his heirs and assigns forever, all that tract, piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the county of Davidson, Bounded as follows Towit; Beginning at a stake and pile of stone on Mary Linns line, near Wm. Limmesons house running with Lynns line South three degrees East Twenty chains eighty eight links to a stake James and Henry Ellis corner thence with their line south eighty seven degrees West ten chains & fifty nine links to a stake their corner with their line South degrees West Two chains & Twenty nine links to a hickory grub their corner with their line No. 88.o West seventeen chains& twelve links to a pile of stone on Dott Robert Moors line thence with his line North four degrees West crossing Potts Creek Twenty five chains & thirty links to a small post oak, said Limmesons corner Thence with his line East, Twenty eight chains & ninety three links crossing Potts Creek to the beginning containing Sixty nine acres. And also, all woods, ways, water and water courses, and all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining, and the reversions , remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits of the aforesaid lands and premises, and every part thereof, and all the estate, right, title, interest, claims, property and demand whatsoever of the said Anderson Ellis of, in and to the land premises hereby granted; to have and to hold the aforesaid lands and premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said James & Henry Ellis his heirs and assigns, to the proper use and behoof of the said James Ellis and Henry Ellis their heirs and assigns, forever; And the said Anderson Ellis for him and his heirs the aforesaid land and premises, and ever part therof, against himself and his heirs, and against the claim or claims of all and every other person or pearsons whatsoever, to the said James Ellis & Henry Ellis their heirs ans assighns, shall and will forever warrant and defend gy these presents.
