DEED BOOK 4, PAGE 11 16 Sep 1758 This Indenture made the Fourteenth Day of September in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand Seven Hundred & Fifty Eight Between Robert Jones, Jun. Of Northampton County in the Province of North Carolina of the One part, and JOHN HUNTER, Senr. of Albemarle County in the Collony of Virginia of the Other part. Witnesseth, That for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eighty five pounds Virginia Money to him in hand paid by the Said John Hunter at or before the Ensealing & Delivery of these presents, the Receipt whereof he the sd. Robert Jones Doth hereby acknowledge Hath Given Granted Bargained sold Aliened and Confirmed, And by these presents, Doth from himself and his Heirs, Give Grant Bargain Sell alien and Confirm unto the Said John Hunter, And to his Heirs and Assigns for Ever, All that Tract or parcel of Land Containing by Estimation, One Thousand acres, Situate Lying & being in the County of Rowan on both Sides of Dan River, Beginning at a White oak on the south Side of the sd. River, Running West five hundred poles to a Locus, thence North three Hundred and twenty poles to a pine, thence East five hundred poles to a Maple, thence South to the beginning, Together With All Woods Under Woods Trees Ways Waters Water Courses profits Commodities Hereditaments & Appurtenances whatsoever to the Said Tract belonging or in any wise Appurtaining & the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders, Rents Issues & profits thereof, And Also all the Estate Right Title Interest Use Trust property Claim or Demand whatsoever Either in Equity or in Law of him the Said Robert Jones, of in and to the sd. premises and of and in every or any part thereof, To have and To hold, the sd. One Thousand acres of Land hereby Granted, with their and Every of their Appurtenances, unto the Said John Hunter & his Heirs, To the only proper Use & behoof of the Said John Hunter his Heirs & Assigns for Ever, and the Said Robert Jones for himself his Heirs Exrs. & Admrs. Doth Covenant & Grant to & with the Said John Hunter his Heirs & Assigns, that he the Said John Hunter his Heirs & Assigns, shall & may for ever hereafter peaceably & Quietly have hold use occupy, possess and Enjoy the hereby Bargained & Sold premises with the Appurtenances, & every part thereof, without the Lawful Let Suit hinderance Mollestation or Disturbance of him the Said Robert Jones his Heirs or Assigns And that the sd. Robert Jones & his Heirs Shall & Will Warrant & forever Defend the Same unto the Said John Hunter his Heirs & Assigns, Against the Lawful Claim of him the Said Robert Jones his Heirs and Assigns or any other person or persons whomsoever, Lawfully Claiming or pretending to claim from by or Under him them or any of them, In Witness Whereof the sd.
