To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting. Know Ye that we for & in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our Treasury by Frederick Miller Senr have given & granted to Frederick Miller Senr a tract of land containing One hundred and thirty acres lying & being in our county of Rowan Lying on the Waters of Cold Branch Beginning at a stump on the road corner to his other Survey and runs North Sixteen Chains to a post Oad West thirty eight chs to a hickory down Harmans line Thence along his line and part his corner South Seventy five chs to a Black Oak East forty?(smeared_ chs to a pine on the North side of the Waggon Road Thence with the same to the beginning as by the plat hereunto annexed. Both appear together with all woods, waters, mine, minerals hereditaments & appurtenance to the said land belonging or appertaining to: To Hold to the said Frederick Miller his heirs and assigns for ever: Yielding and paying to us such forms of money yearly as ? as our General Assembly from time to time may direct. Provided always that the said Frederick Miller shall cause this Grant to be registered in the Registers Office of our said County of Rowan with Twelve Months from the date hereof; otherwise the same shall be void & of no affect. In Testimony whereof we have caused these our letters to be made patent & our Great seals to be hereunto affixed.
