Witnessed that the said Samuel Wilson and Anna his wife Daughter of Wilson Macay dec. , David Billings and Susannah Billings his wife Daughter of Wilson Macay dec. , Spruce Macay son of said Wilson Macay dec. and William Wilson and Elizabeth his wife Daughter of Wilson Macay for and in consideration of the sum of Five Thousand Five Hundred and Forty Four Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Anderson Ellis the receipt whereof the said Samuel Williams and his wife Anna Williams , David Billings and his wife Susannah Billings , Spruce Macay and William Wilson and his wife Elizabeth heirs at law of the said Wilson Macay doth herby acknowledge hath given granted bargained and sold alien and confirmed and by these present doth give granted bargained and sell alien and confirm unto the said Anderson Ellis his heirs and assigns forever all that tract piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Davidson and state aforesaid on the waters of Swearing Creek. Beginning at a Hickory the old beginning corner of said tract of land. Thence East seven chains to a Burch on west bank of Swearing Creek Thence north six chains and thirty two links to a hickory David Smiths corner, Thence East sixty three chains and fifty links to a black Jack, George Smiths corner Thence south sixty eight chains and twenty links to a persimmon in the place of a White Oak the original corner, Thence West fifty eight chains and forty links to a stake Mrs. Elizabeth Kellys corner , Thence North thirty one chains and twenty five links to a hickory, Thence West five chains to a hickory, Thence North thirty one chains and fifty links to the beginning, containing by estimation Four Hundred and Sixty Three Acres, more or less being the lands conveyed by Henry McCulloh to James Macay by James Mcay to William Macay and from whom it is descended to us as the heirs at law of said Wilson Macay dec. and also all the woods, waters and water courses and all and every the appurtenances, there unto belonging or any wise appertaining and the ----------, remainder and remainders, rents , issues and profits of the aforesaid lands and premises, and ever part thereof and all the estate right title interest, claim, -----and demand, whatsoever, of the said Samuel Williams and Anna his wife, David Billings and Susannah his wife , Spruce Macay and William Wilson and Elizabeth his wife being heirs at law of Wilson Macay of in and to the land and premises hereby granted, to have and hold the aforesaid lands and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Anderson Ellis his heirs and assigns to the proper use and be hoof of the said Anderson Ellis his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Samuel Williams and Anna his wife, David Billings and Susannah his wife Spruce Macay and William Wilson and Elizabeth his wife heirs at law of said Wilson Macay dec. for themselves and their heirs the aforesaid lands and premises and every part thereof against themselves and their heirs and against the claim or claims of all and any person or persons whatsoever to the said Anderson Ellis his heirs and assigns shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents in witness whereof the said Samuel Williams and Anna his David Billings Susanna his wife have hereunto set their hand and affixed their seals the day and year first above written sealed and delivered in presence of Witness Ezra Allemong Samuel Willson (seal) R.
