Deserted From Salisbury Rendezvous
Thurs., Nov. 17, 1808, Raleigh Minerva
DESERTED: $20 Reward
    SALISBURY RENDEZVOUS, ROWAN, N.C. – Nov. 5th, 1808 – Deserted from this 
Rendezvous, on Wednesday night last, EDWARD TYLER, private of my company, born 
in Montgomery County, N. C., aged 22 years, five feet eight inches high, a 
light complexion, grey eyes, brown hair, and by occupation a schoolmaster.
    Any person taking up said Deserter and delivering him to me at this place, 
will receive the above reward, or ten dollars if delivered to any other 
officer of the United States Army, or confined in any gaol so that I can get 
him.
