Rowan County, NC - Military - Stephen Potts, Report on Account, 1784 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The State of North Carolina To Stephen Potts To 1900 lb of meat flour and eight casks To 5 casks butter - 480 lb gross 400 lb meat To 75 days service of waggon team and driver To shoeing four horses round To finding forage for his team and provisions for himself 17 days Rowan County This day Stephen Potts made oath that the above services were done by him and the above provisions furnished to Gen'l Rutherfords Brigade to the aid of South Carolina in the months of November December and January in the years 1778 and 1779 - and that he had vouchers for the above services which vouchers he delivered to Gen Rutherford some time after the said services were performed and to be laid before the General Assembly for allowance, but that he never had any allowance made, nor has he received any part of pay for any of the above charged services or provision Sworn to and subscribed Stephen Potts Oct. 6th 1783 Before me Will Cathey J.P.
