Feb. 16, 1883 February 16, 1883 The Salisbury Watchman tells of a pretty sharp trick played in that place one night recently. It was observed that the ferocious dogs of MR. J. M. HORAH were barking in the corner of the front yard at a person who was playing a banjo in the street, but as banjo is common in Salisbury no attentionn was paid to the matter until nex morning it was found that the smoke house had been robbed of all the bacon in it. While the banjo player engaged the dogs, the thieves went through the smoke house.
